The SeaTac BMX Home-Track Club is all about celebrating our local BMX community and taking pride in the incredible scene we are building together in North SeaTac Park. Our track and program is all about a safe space to ride bikes and inclusion for all–everyone is welcome! The only requirement is to select SeaTac BMX as your “home track” when you register or renew your membership with USABMX, and you’re automatically a part of the club.
Club members will receive one complimentary home-track jersey, early information on camps and clinics, updates on our capital improvement plans, an invitation to our year-end awards ceremony–and new members will always have a contact for questions or guidance navigating this sport we all love.
The SeaTac BMX Home-Track Club is intended to create a sense of togetherness and align all riders regardless of gender, age, or ability. This means that you can race the home jersey representing the club, or you can have it as an alternate to your primary team jersey if you’re on one of the amazing local race teams.
The SeaTac BMX Race team is a newly formed developmental program geared to assist young riders in their pathway to achievement. The program will feature regularly scheduled track time centered around mentorship by championship-level coaches.
This paid program is available to SeaTac Home-Track Club members that are expert-level riders only, aged 6-17, and are striving for an earned-plate at the State, Regional, N.A.G., National or World levels. “Dual-team” status is not permitted with the following exception: riders ascending to national factory teams may remain on the SeaTac BMX Race Team for local development when home.
Team membership includes a limited race-team jersey, helmet and uniform from Troy Lee Designs, home-track gate practices, home-track single point races, coaching, mentorship, and other perks. The team will be filled on a first come, first served basis, and will be limited to sixteen riders. To promote inclusion, we offer flexible pricing and will extend pricing that fits varying budgets. SeaTac BMX does not share payment information with anyone including coaches, and the price you select will not affect your rider’s experience in the program.
In Washington State, we are lucky to have a vibrant BMX scene filled with awesome independent race teams. Many of these teams provide gear, coaching, mentorship, a sense of community and great company! They are a great resource for riders to meet friends, have fun and get faster, while offering mom and dad some much needed support on race day. Whether that is a little shade from the hot sun under a team’s tent, sharing food and drinks with other families, or a friendly pit area with a knowledgeable crew to help fix a flat tire quick enough to make the next moto, being a part of a race team is part of the fun.
